Introduction of Udyam/MSME

The full form of MSME is Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises. It was introduced by theUdyam/MSME
Government of India in agreement with the MSMED (Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprise
Development) Act of 2006. As per this act, Udyam/MSMEs are the enterprises involved in the processing, production, and preservation of the goods and Products.

Which companies are under Udyam/ MSME?

The Ministry of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises, a branch of the Government of India, is primarily used for laying the foundation and administration of rules, regulations, and laws relating to micro, small and medium enterprises in India.

What are the Investment and Turnover Limits of Udyam/MSME?

The Investment limit for:- 

  • Micro Enterprises:- Less than 1 crore INR.
  • Small Enterprises:- 1 to 10 crore INR.
  • Medium Enterprises:- 10 to 50 crore INR.

The Turnover limit for:-

  • Micro Enterprises:- Less than 5 crore INR.
  • Small Enterprises:- 1 to 25 crore INR.
  • Medium Enterprises:- 25 to 250 crore INR.
